My 2008 SXT has had transmission issues for some time, essentially the whole transmission appears to be in the wrong gear ratios and the torque converter does not appear to lock in at the desired RPMs.
Never had any issues with limp mode or anything of that nature, my son uses this vehicle to do a 3km commute to school every day and that is about it, so we have kind of just lived with it for a year or so..
My question is, I drained the transmission a few months ago and put back the suggested amount of CVT fluid, I never touched/drained the torque converter, although I did have this problem before then and I was basically grasping as straws to fix it.
I have a feeling that the torque converter is not full of the required amount of liquid, long story short, if I add more CVT fluid to the transmission through the dipstick tube, will this end up in the torque converter or is there a special way to fill it?
