Ok so this may sound crazy but I been doing some research and the dodge calibers all use the same oil pan gasket (same bolt pattern) from 2007 to 2012 so what I want to know is can I use a 2.0l or 2.4l oil pan on my 1.8l caliber(it's rusting out) it should fit but will be bigger it's more square and mine is like slopped. So aside from having to add more oil to make up for the bigger pan will this work ? Oil pan is only available at the dealership and there is 4 calibers sitting in the scrap yard with the bigger sized oil pan I am talking about. any help would be greatly appreciated I'm running out of time here the pan has already started to leak

Man, I found this online at this place AND dodgeparts.com. You'd better jump all over it. I found a different part # for the 2.4 even though they look the same to me. The price for the 1.8 oil pan is shown as $18.85 at dodgeparts.com. The 2.4 pan is shown to be $103.15. I KNOW which one I'd try to order. https://www.parts.com/index.cfm?...PartInfo&PartNumber=4884664AE...OIL-PAN

Go to www.dodgeparts.com and type in your information. I just went to the site and typed in 2008 Dodge Caliber. For the engine I typed in 1.8 and then looked up the oil pan. It STILL shows the oil pan part # 4884664AE is $18.95. I even went so far as checkout. This is what it shows. Do whatever you want to do. I'm done.
