WD-40 is a petrolium based product, might melt the plastic. Try an inconspicuous area first to see if it is ok. I've used WD-40 on a lot of things, never had a problem. But a quick check to see if it doesn't do any damage is best, before going "whole hog"

The spray-on Ice is amazing stuff (was recommended to me on the ForumZ), yes it definitely preserves the black plastic trim!
