Trans overheating

The transmission is overheating when going uphill on my 2010 caliber. I've already installed an aftermarket trans cooler which seemed to help some. I saw that somebody makes a deeper replacement pan. Do you think this might help?

No.

Uninstall the aftermarket trans cooler. You'll just make things worse.

You'll need to have the CVT fluid replaced (not a flush), and both filters replaced. I highly suggest you have it serviced by an actual Dodge dealership mechanic... but, it is possible to do it yourself.

Some may tell you the CVT fluid doesn't need to be changed - insist on it. There is a trans filter and a trans cooler filter that will both need to be replaced. The trans cooler filter is usually the main issue for overheating.

CVT fluid should be changed out every 65,000 miles, with filters, just like an oil change.

Should have mentioned that the shop that installed the cooler did a trans service first, replacing both filters.
Is this a replacement of the original cooler? Those tended to get clogged up internally.
It sits in front of the radiator and runs in series with the cooler in the radiator.
In series... So if the original cooler is still clogged, there is still an issue.
