is the 2006 1.8 SE manual transmission the same as the 2008 1.8 SXT manual transmission.

Do they both use the Magna T355 five speed?

Thanks.

Yes. The 6 speeds were in the 2.4 turbo and 2.0 CRD.

That's good to hear, thanks. I've been having trouble finding the right drive shaft seals for the 2008 transmission.
Apparently the 2006 and 2008 have different seals?

There was no MY06 other than some test mules pre-production.
All Caliber production began with MY07 so no difference in seal part numbers.

Ah okay thanks. I bought a seal for an 06 for the 08 transmission and it's a bit too big. must of sent the wrong seal.
Ordered the seal with the part number you given me from MyMoparParts, but the order got cancelled due to the seal being backordered nationwide. I'll have to keep looking. Thanks for that though, that's really helped.
