2009 caliber. It was making a kinda knocking noise. Replaced struts with monroe. Was fine. Tourqed everything to spec. Now the same noise. Any ideas? Could the brand new struts be bad?

Possibly, but Caliber suspensions aren't known for their robustness. Check all of the bushings, ball joints, etc. for wear and replace what's needed.

Lower control arms, ball joints, and sway bar bushings.

These things ride like hay wagons from brand new.

On my 2008 R/T, the front lower driver-side ball joint failed.

I acquired a better one from a salvage yard. Easy fix with the right tools (who named it a “pickle fork?”).

You’ll want two jacks.

Watch your fingers.
