Hello, I'm new here, just got myself a 2010 caliber.
I went to pick it up and did not notice any issue until the night time..
It was preinstalled with "Xenon light" and one of them is flickering a bit but also it shuts down for half a second and back up when driving (not regularly, its sometimes occurs more than other times).

Now I would like to know if this was custom modification or if there were official Xenon headlight option when purchasing (in Finland)?
I don't really care about xenon, I could revert back to classic headlight if possible.

Would replacing the "bulb" fix this flickering issue ?
What is the format used ? D2S?

There are versions that 'look-alike' to Xenonish, how do you know what is fitted?

Youtube has how to access videos.

A bulb could flicker with a fractured filament, swap sides to check.
Could be the socket, or then breaks in wiring insulation.

I still have two of these at home:

I could try to just replace both side with these ones ?

Does these looks like original without HID kit?

In that case it would be currently installed the halogen as you showed.

Shall I proceed and replace them with my OSRAM H4?
Before that i will swap sides as you recommended.

In 13 years I have only had to replace the headlight bulb once well happy, one of the best records I have ever owned and plenty bright enough - have fogs when I need more.

I can't remember what it looked like or tell from your picture but it looks so tidy to be stock.
I was able to replace one of them from the engine bay with fiddling, the other side I had to go up through the wheel well liner.

Allright, thanks for the help! I think i'll just see a professional to check if there are oth er issues with the car, I will then ask the seller to pay for these. Its a small dealership so i think they knew about these issues..

Here are more pictures of the current installation.
Seems not to be an issue with the bulb but we did not manage to get them out so I did not swap them.

So i assume it's a custom installation. I'll bring it to a mechanic and see what he says...
