So its been pretty boring in this forum lately, so im just tryin to spice things up... no I do not want to do this, I am just curious... can a SRT 6 Speed tranny mate with another engine like the 2.4 non-srt or the 2.0 or 1.8????

While an expensive proposition, it could most certainly replace the 5spd I suppose, without much modifications.

Replacing the CVT is another story though. The ECM, TCM and all their buddies will be expecting a CVT in there and will fault every Christmas light they can if the CVT got yanked out.

Perhaps the only issue with the SRT GetRag tranny being put in lieu of the 5spd would be adapting the mount or link up with the wheels but that shouldn't be anything insurmountable.

I was think the same thing with the CTV tranny.
I forgot that the engine is mounted further up in SRT models and that it would need a mount adapter or somethin to make it fit.
