The car developed a problem with starting the engine. 3 starters later I was told it is not a starter but the TIP module. This was diagnosed by a Dodge dealership here in Mexico, where my car is located. I got a refurbished TIPM installed a few days ago. The car was starting without issue since then, but as of today - same issue seems to prevent the engine from turning over and starting. IN order to start I am again forced to disconnect the battery, then turn the key on and reconnect the battery… Exactly what I kept doing until I received the replacement TIPM.

Does anybody know what might cause this problem? Any suggestions will be much appreciated…

We were having all kinds of electrical issues and starting and wiper motor and all of that. Right before the transmission went out with figured it was the TIPM so I ordered one that matched the model number on eBay and it worked except for one of the front headlights and the wiper motor. We replaced that motor but it didn’t help. We also replaced the switch arm for the wiper but that didn’t work so if anybody has ideas on that I would welcome them. We got a replacement transmission from a scrapyard and Had to return to it because the scrap yard did not give us the transmission module but thankfully we got that and we are about to put that in to see if the transmission is going to work.

Buenas,

Saludos.
