I need my rear sub frame replaced due to rust. Dealer replaced my front in 2019 and said the rear was good. Now it’s not and they say to go pound sand basically.
That said I am reading that the 4wd/awd subframe fits and works exactly like the fwd rear frame. Only difference is a rounded part of the 4wd frame that effects nothing on the 2wd calibers. ( mines 2wd)
There is almost double in cost for a 2wd frame over the 4wd rear frame.
Anyone know anything of this or know why I couldn’t just use the 4wd rear frame?
Every other part of the front and rear suspension on this car is new other than the 3 year old front subframe.
( I have 200k on this car and going for 300k)

It would probably work. If you go with the 4WD unit, make sure you buy it from somewhere with a good return policy.

That said, you can find the FWD version on Amazon and eBay for reasonable money:

Anyone on here know the torque spec for the rear subframe bolts? I just replaced the rear subframe and call it find it anywhere.
Service Manual Pg. 13 - 14.
Following pages also show removal / install for the subframe with torque specs for corresponding bolts.
