Hey, I just got my car about a month ago, but now the warning chime has started going off at random times. No lights turn on, and it has happened when I was accelerating from a stop sign, braking behind a car, and when I was idling in a parking space. Any ideas what might be wrong with it?

Make sure the gas cap is on tight. Other than that, the dealer should be able to check if it's throwing codes.

Maybe the seatbelt sensor wonky? Just an idea. I hate mine, I work construction and while I'm in a closed zone I drive around without a seatbelt and it's CONSTANTLY chiming. Thankfully I don't drive around like that often enough for me to take the time and rip it's guts out :p

Hope you find the problem.

You don't have to rip its guts out-just turn it off!
