Hi I was wondering if you could help us. We purchased a dodge caliber 2006 (Sept 2006) last week, drove fine for few days then the esp/bas light and the traction lights came on. We've been googling and found the reset by turning the steering wheel is this when on? And do you reset to the middle between each turn?

This am my husband went to go to work and the lights were on again, he turned off the car and started it again but stalled it and when he turned the engine on again the battery light was also illuminated.

Any advice on where to start would be amazing (not got much spare money to replace lots of parts atm you see)
And is it likely to be all one problem or multiple issues?

Not sure if this is relevant but the day we collected the car the brake pads had been changed

Many thanks in advance

These cars are nothing but problems, Electrical nightmares. Should have done your research.

Could be bad wheel speed sensors. Not sure how to pin point which one is causing it other than using a High end OBD II ECM/ ABS reader.

Is it AWD or just FWD?

The ESP and ABS isn't needed to drive it, more of a convenience thing.

If the Battery light is on when the vehicle is running it means the Alternator is not outputting voltage and is most likely dead.

I have this problem too. It's probably a sensor but you can try resetting the sensor by starting the car, turning the wheel all the way to the left then turn all the way to the right, then back to the center position, turn the car off, and when you turn it back on the lights should be off. If they come back on you probably need a new wheel speed sensor, steering angle sensor or brake light switch. Something along those lines.
