I have a 2008 sxt i have a broken lug nut stud back passenger side this guy is asking dam near $300 to replace. Says its more if disc compare to rotor.. Thats too much right?

I don't know if the studs themselves can be replaced or if the whole wheel bearing assembly has to be replaced but if it's the latter then the charge is not totally out of line. It looks like the assembly itself is the same part whether you have rear disks or drums so I don't know why he'd charge more for one than the other.

If you have rear discs it takes about 10 minute to change them out. You don't have to remove the hub.

Use a hammer/ punc smash the old one out, use a lugnut over a bigger nut to suck the new stud in from the back.

I've done it. Lug studs are like $2 ea at rock auto.
