If I'm not mistaken Chrysler uses the signals from both oxygen sensors in adjusting the fuel mixture for the car. If a sensor goes bad the car can run like poo as a result, and that has the potential of damaging other things, including the catalytic converter. That makes CaliburGuy2021's suggestion of replacing both a good idea, and be sure to use a GOOD oxygen sensor (like a Denso), not some Dorman or no-name POS.
