If the car is shut off and you open the driver's door with the lights on the car should ding repeatedly to alert you of this.has anyone caliber got some sort of alarm when you leave your headlights on by accident mine does not??
Not yet but I asked the question to see if anyone else has a warning when they open the door because mines never had one since I bought it so I'm thinking its standardHi, might be a stupid question but, have you checked your fuses?

actually i don't think there is, there is a dome light fuse though, pretty sure it might be a bad switch or actuator or some sort to tell when the door is open or something along those linesWould theyre be a fuse for it you think??
Relik - it's a US built car and hosted site so you have to adapt your terminology.
Your car bought in 2006 is a 2007 model (2006 does not exist). The cabin interior light is a 'dome' light probably for no better reason than when first introduced they were round and in the center of the roof.
From your Owners Handbook:
Lights-on Reminder
If the headlights or parking lights are on after the ignition is turned OFF, a chime will sound to alert the driver when the driver’s door is opened.
Our Knowledge Base has information on all the fuses.
