ok... i have seen a few calibers with the plastic engine cover being something other then black... do people paint these to match or do they just come in the color of the car... cause... mine is black... and i would rather it be silver to match the car
They are all black, any other color is custom painted, like mine.

People have removed them and painted them...

i think they are more of a gray/black and i am willing to swap my cover for EX's if he wants.:D
i intend to spray mine when the weather turns better, maybe black and as close to chrome as i can get...

you need to use a plastic primer before you spray
your colour..
before you do that give it a good wash and de-greasing, maybe a little bit of a sand to
give it a key for the paint, i can't advise you of make of paint as we get different types to you here in the UK, but a plastic primer coat..

Glenn, i showed my wife the picture of your engine cover,
and she said.." don't you even think about it " :jok:
so i will have to just make do with spraying it myself...

I wanted the engine cover, mirrors and everything else color matched... the process was easy and all parts came with a factory finish......

Well it did cost me $360!! shipped from Canada, I wonder what it would cost for you?:eek:

for the cover to be sprayed Glenn, or did you buy it like that...
i will just spray mine black and silver/chrome, nearest to chrome...
but your engine cover is the est i have seen on here..

I might spray my engine cover& paint my brake calipers,British Leyland Tartan Red!!.........Now I know it on Forums some where......How do you get the cover off?????????

Pete the engine cover just pops off, its on plastic suction balls, more or less
in each corner.. do a corner one at a time, a gentle pull..
