Pretty much doing a double din transplant from a stock radio. I need a double din bezel. Not too much worried about the aesthetics of it, its gonna get painted anyway. :wavey:

Just cut and fill the stock one. I did it with mine.
They dont make a true double din one other than the navi one, which is considerably larger than double din, and loses the storage space below the radio.

Here is mine, in progress and finished:
I cut the top and bottom open about 1/8" inch, used a 7" wheel grinder to get a good straight line, then did the corners with a dremel.

In primer:

In Black, before wet-sanding:

Do you have the double din radio yet? Just curious.

why is it that tons of people use family guy as a "test" for video playback on their hu's?

Blue harvest is a fave in my car (seen it god knows how many times now, both friends and family love it!)

to the op, what radio are you tossing in? just curious, i had a buddy of mine cut and fill my bezel, and paint it with leftover paint from a bumper repair.

Thanks, Yeah our bezels are very close to double din, so close that a *few* double din units will fit. But anyways I just sold my entire setup (bezel, harness, head unit, metal bracket behind dash, ipod cable, and mount) to a member on the blue forum... for just 325 :( gotta pay bills :shakehead:

I've got the stereo the bezel, harness, antenna adapter, & a single din kit with cubby (just to fill ear gaps) https://www.walmart.com/ip/American-International-Cdk648-Chrysler-dodge-Radio-Install-Kit/41146638
Now I'm ready for install I know I'm going to have to do some cutting to get it to look good. BUT how would you mount the stereo to the dash.. The brackets I have for it arent wide enough to reach the mounting holes on in the dash..
Is a separate 2din kit needed for the mounting hardware..?
Thank You
