Dome Light Wiring

Ok I'm wanting to install LEDs on the underside of the dash to light up the floor boards and i have seen many picture of those of you that have done so and i was just wondering what and where is the wire that powers the dome lights so i can tap into that one so the LEDs will only light when I open the door. I have read that some of you added switches and i don't really want a switch anywhere. Any help or input would be great. Thanks

the wiring goes as far as i know at the a-pillar up to the roof...
here is a pic of the wiring...
but there can be differences between europe and us models and what kind of options your car has....
