As for the head on crash, my son and I walked away with minor aches and pains. He had to have a minor knee surgery, but all in all, just very sore for a few days where the seat belts locked us in. Stupid 18 year old girl, drunk and messed up on pills at 11:00 am in the morning. They had to cut her out of her Dodge Neon. She survived with a broken ankle and a few non life threatening injuries. According to the 911 report I got from the police dept, she was pronounced dead at the scene 3 times. She had clipped a van in front of us and then plowed us head on. The guy in the van and his son, along with me, my son and my wife, who arrived later at the scene, all stood in the middle of the highway while they were cutting her out and prayed that God intervene on her behalf. He listened to us and saved her life. Even though she had blood coming out of both ears when I went to check on her and she was life flighted out of there, God saved her. He does still work miracles. The DA wanted to prosecute her for the accident and wanted to put her away for 3-7 years. I declined to go along with that. I asked that she go to rehab and be put on probation for 3 years and she and her parents agreed to that. No 18 year old kid needs to be in prison for a stupid mistake.
