Millage is correct and I'm the second owner. All maint performed at dodge dealers. Yesterday when I started it there was a loud popping noise (4-5 pops) in the interior. This morning same thing and popping goes away within seconds. Closest I can get to origin is near the middle of the front dash. No engine lights or problems driving. Called the dealer for an appt and they can get it in is next monday but worried about driving in the interim and damaging further.

When the car is running turn the fan on and change the airflow from cold to hot and from foot to defrost to vent. If you hear popping when you do that, one of the blend door actuators (ie: the little motors that move the vent flaps in the dash) has failed. They're not hard or expensive to replace...I have a vid on YouTube for replacing the one behind the glove box.
Did exactly that today after talking with you and nnoice stopped. Still bringing it in for check out since notices break peddle making small popping notice also.

PS thanks for the quick response and ignoring the spelling screw ups.
