Change Alternator belt

1679 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Aleks
Had a look at the Alternator belt today and found a small crack  needs replacement.
Considering to change it along with the tension rollers, has anyone in here done this? If, is it easy? Any pics of the event?

I have not done it personally, but working on anything related to the serpentine belt is a challenge due to the limited space. You'll almost certainly need to go through the passenger front wheel well to replace the tensioners and the such. This assumes you have a gasoline engine...the diesel engine they sold in Europe may be different in this respect.
CRD alt + belt from top. Photo routing before as easy to confuse. I changed belt with alt, comes with clutch. Tensioner was OK.
