Sooo this project has just kept getting worse with srt 4 motor 🫠. I am starting to think i would be having more fun with another 1.8 😂. Anyways

Now i got a few things needing to be fixed.

I put a new oil pan and it is leaking bad
Video below

Is this oil pump chain to loose?

I think the oil feed line has a small leak as well..

Now the worse part... the junkyard i got the motor from lied. They said it had 125k miles and i checked the vin online and it says 201k miles..

I am kinda lost atm.

While still fumbling with the buckles in my straightjacket;

Can one make one of these motors out of old-school metal?

Cast iron? Something not made of weak aluminium. Titanium, maybe?

Would this be a cheaper idea?

454 Hemi doesn't fit? 😶

There is no connection point from the factory. You will have to fabricate a connection point or find an aftermarket connection. Maybe something that goes in between the fuel raid/fuel line connection point.

Let me know if you find one

yeah that is what it is looking like. A guy on the fourms was asking about this a while ago and he put the sizes on there. So i am trying to see what i can come up with.

Take a look at the factory service manual. There must be a factory procedure used in the dealership service bays to check the fuel pressure. They probably have a special adapter.

Quick update. I will be replacing the timing/oil pump chain and fixing the oil pan leak. Then the following week I will be changing the fuel system to a return style system instead of the current returnless system due to fuel pressure issue. Then get back to tuning on E85.

Got the Timing chain done and car has been driving good. Now the I am just waiting on the JMB fuel rail to come in tomorrow to change the fuel system.

was my first time doing a timing chain job. Was not as scary as i thought.

Also no leaks = )

Had to send the fuel rail back due to the port on the rail being to big.

While they are fixing that. I was wonder if anyone knows how to defeat the stock fuel pressure regulator? I drilled a screw in the middle to hope that it nulls it.

If i take it out fuel leaks out. I may need something to block it.

Aftermarket fuel canister.

screw in the picture is normal a hole.

HI CaliberGuy, I'm getting closer to installing an Eaton M90 supercharger on my Caliber R/T.

How did you mount your intake air temp sensor? I'm assuming you mounted it between the intercooler and throttle body. Did you use an adapter of some kind?
