So i just noticed the the water pump pully is smaller on the srt motor compare to the NA motors.

I think i found the correct fittings for my turbo oil and coolant lines now. I test fitted the clutch and transmission and it fits good. Ready to drop it in tomorrow!

Yes, no secondary thermostat on SRT4, just a restrictor plate.

You should use the restrictor and not the thermostat from your other engine.

And you should use the SRT coolant adapter and not the adapter from your other engine.

Can you show the water pump pulleys side by side? I did not know they were different sizes.

Thanks alot man. Now i just need to find a hose that can fit that nipple on the thermostat. the one on the side to feed my turbo.

I can get some measurements on it tomorrow maybe depending on the rain! But when checked i think they are about 1 inch smaller or so.

So i tried to put the gasket on the srt restrictor plate but it would not fit so i put the thermostat in.

I got the car started today and it sounds good but i am now running into another problem... There is no throttle response and i am stumped at the moment. When i had the car on jack stands and put the car into second and let go the clutch i could give it gas and it would spin. But if i put the car is from a stop. It gets no throttle response at all. Anyone got any suggestions? I may put back on my old throttle body to see if that helps.

So i have swapped the coils and plugs from the old motor and still no throttle. I even out on the old throttle body and i get the same issue.

I did notice that this motor did not have a port for the coolant temperature sensor 2 like on the last two motors. under the intake manifold. I also have a code for it. Could this sensor cause a no throttle responce if not plugged in?

now i just need a diagram of the water cooling system for the srt 4. I am just hoping i did not plum anything the wrong way -_-. Also the car shuts off when it gets to 210 degrees F and there is a oil leak that i need to figure out. So that is next on the list.

Hey John, I have a question as i seriously think i have my turbo coolant return line backwards.

On the thermostat that extra nipple for the srt version do you know where that is suppose to be routed to?

I have it going to the topline of my turbo and i have the block line going to the turbo as well. Unless that is correct.

So i keep getting the lighting bolt when I go into boost. I also have a bit of leaks to fix and not looking forward to lol. But i also noticed that the map sensor looks a little diffrent then the one that comes with the srt 4. The main numbers the same but this is the one on the srt4 intake manifold

So i have put back in the rc 750cc injectors and the OEM 3 bar sensor. I am now also seeking help on HPTuners for help with tuning or just a general direction on tuning. I have received some response which is cool compared to when i first started. There is also a nice gentlemen that was able to tell me about some tables that they may be able to open up for high octane ratings like in the srt 4 ecm i think.

I also need to put a new oil pan on due to the current one leaking everywhere and is dented like crazy.

Noooooo....
The Lancer and Caliber platform and engine were co-developed in an unholy 3 way with Chrysler, Mitsubishi and Fiat (Huyndai was in there too, but they got shy and backed out).

The Lancer and Caliber share suspension components, have the same wheelbase, same engine block and heads, I believe it will all just bolt in.

Think how cool that would be, a Caliber with 300hp, twin clutch transmission, 4wd, torque vectoring, can be modded to 500+ HP. Wow

I've often thought about taking the engine, transmission and 4wd system from an EVO X and bolting it into the Caliber.
Its funny that you said that. I was talking to a guy and he is actually going that route. But a built Evo x motor into his Caliber. If i was looking for around 600whp i would have went that route as well. It should not be to much dif to be honest.
