Caliber 2.0 CRD 140 6 speed manual Gearbox oil change, Fill and drain plugs?

5128 Views 4 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Flyinghigh
So Cali is due for a Gearbox oil change and finding it difficult to find some literature on the procedure.
So the questions are:

1. Has anyone found any pictures to identify the fill and drain plugs? I am pretty sure the bolt to the rear of the gearbox is the drain, is the rubber plug on the side a filler?

2. How much ATF+4 do I need? Most gear box oil filling require the oil to start flowing out then that is your level?

Any help is much appreciated, cheers.

Don't have a clue, man. That combination was never offered this side of the pond. There are several UK members here, however. Perhaps one of them will know and chime in. I wish I could help you, but I'm not going to lie about it, I can't.
Thanks, hopefully someone will be able to assist. I know the gearbox is a Aisin BG6 but trying to find any maintenance instructions is proving difficult.
Eventually found it on www.dodgecaliberclub.forumfree.it. Though i would post it for other diesel CRD users.

Nice find. Thanks for sharing it. I'm sure someone else will see and and hopefully file it away for when they need it.
