Let's try to create a registry of known Caliber SRT4.

The point here is not to know what vehicle you have. it's to try to figure out a registry of the known SRT4s and try to create a sequence of the known ones.

DONT put your entire VIN here. We want the YEAR and SEQUENCE *ONLY*.

Please refer to the table bellow for decoding VIN numbers.

We want the LAST 6 DIGITS and the 10TH DIGIT in the sequence.

EDIT

At long last, efforts of various Caliber SRT4 forums are coming together in order to merge and expand the list of known Caliber SRT4s out there.

The known car lists have been merged together, and a whopping 100 extra cars have been found. The current tally is 177 cars!

Please do consult the registry to confirm your presence and if your car is not listed, REGISTER! Also, if you have missing/incorrect information listed next to your VIN, please re-register your vehicle so we can keep everything accurate.

Soon to come, an online petition to ask Chrysler/SRT/Fiat for a complete official list of SRT4 ever produced.

Our goal is to list all builds of this rare car and to create a sequence number certificate/tag for our cars.

Please register your car on CaliberSRT4Registry.info.

Thanks!

A bit late, but I got my info sent. One minor mistake I noticed on the "How And Why" page, it states that the SRT4 has a 2.2L engine, while we all know it's a 2.4L.

Ah yes. A typo. That's what you get for setting up a web site (domain included) in 24h.

Thanks for noticing.

I've updated the site with the few I've gotten since: 181 cars!

Only 500 to find!!!!!!!!

Can a mod clean up this thread and perhaps even lock it?

Thanks.

Sounds like a challenge so here goes with a random example.

564691 2008 **MARKET** Red Texas

So 1B3HBC8F58D564691

1 Manufacturing Country 1 = USA ( Manufacturer 1 = DaimlerChrysler Corp)
2 Make B = Dodge
3 Type 3 = Passenger Car
4 Restraints H = Front and side air bags
5 Line B=FWD LHD E=AWD LHD 3=FWD RHD
6 Series C=6 Spd Man G=CVT N=5 Spd Man
7 Body 8 = 4dr Hatchback
8 Engine A= 2.0 CRD B=2.0 VVT C= 1.8 VVT F=2.4 Turbo K=2.4 VVT T= 2.0 CRD w/DPF
9 Check digit (0-9 or X)
10 MODEL year 7=MY07 (01/06-12/06) 8=MY08 (01/07-06/08) 9=MY09 (07/08-?) A=MY10 (01/10- )
11 Plant D = Belvidere IL Assembly
12 to 17 Vehicle Build Sequence 6 digit number

Position 9 CHECK digit is
CALCULATED FORMULA
CODE VALUE X POSITION WEIGHT = R/11
R (REMAINDER) = CHECK DIGIT
IF R = 10 CHECK DIGIT IS "X".

1B3HBC8F 8D564691
1 B 3 H B C 8 F 8 D 5 6 4 6 9 1
Numeric 1 2 3 8 2 3 8 6 8 4 5 6 4 6 9 1
Weight 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 10 0 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2
Product 8 14 18 40 8 9 16 60 72 32 35 36 20 24 27 2
Sum 421
Divide 11 38.27272727 = 33 + 5/11
Check Digit = 5 ( 9th position )

What's your point? Who cares. Your VIN is in your windshield anyhow. Half the VINs I got were off the web.

That first example was no longer in the sales listings so taking another one off Craig's List

http://providence.craigslist.org/ctd/1608256550.html

2008 Dodge Caliber Srt4 4 Dr (Stock# J0093A) Asking Price: $19,995
Year: 2008 VIN: 1B3HB68F88D708284
Make: Dodge Model: Caliber Srt4 Mileage: 4723

1B3HB68F88D708284
1 B 3 H B 6 8 F 8 D 7 0 8 2 8 4
Numeric 1 2 3 8 2 6 8 6 8 4 7 0 8 2 8 4
Weight 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 10 0 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2
Product 8 14 18 40 8 18 16 60 0 72 32 49 0 40 8 24 8
Sum 415
Divide 11 37.72727273 8
Check Digit = 8 ( 9th position )

The VIN decoder works - except that srt4s do NOT have a C 6 speed and their transmission series designation is 6. Good to know.

Also it's another one for the registry...

708284 2008 craigs Black RI

643151 2008 trovit Red NJ

641396 2008 trovit Red Alaska

500211 2008 craigs Orange MN

610021 2008 market Black CA

693180 2008 market Black PA

789613 2008 market Black HI

187950 2009 market Silver MN

170896 2009 market Black CA

641498 2008 market Red MA

735578 2008 market Red ON

seems like a slow way to get to 2,000 still if everyone finds 10 then we could get there

Get off my thread! You're not helping anything.

(And yes we do have a 6 speed, just a better one than CRDs have)
