Hey just thought I would add a little something to this...
You can decrease your curing time on the paint for the last portion (waiting an hour or so) by using water. Wait about a half hour, and spray cold water across the rims with a garden hose. This will speed the curing time by quick bonding the paint. Make sure you wait at LEAST a half hour before doing this though or you could ruin the top layer of the paint (if you do this, just lightly wet sand, clean, and apply one more coat).
Also, another silly little tip. If you want to get a sparkly look to your black paint color... After your last coat of paint is applied, wait your standard cure time inbetween coats, and lightly "powder coat" another thinly sprayed layer across the top. By this I simply spray sporadically instead of even strokes. When it cures, this will give it a finish similar to having metal filings in the paint (pearlescent).
Hope this gives you guys some new ideas to go on!
