Motor vehicle Automotive tire Hood Light Automotive design

Requesting help and suggestions from owners who installed backup camera on the hatch of their Caliber.

While routing cable for backup camera, I've hit this roadblock (a.k.a grommet) that I can't seem to solve in a brilliant way.
The connecting end of the video cable is simply too large to be poked through along with original wiring harness that is already taking up most of the space within the grommet. I have thought about bypassing the grommet but that could potentially compromise waterproof seal and let the water in to the cabin.

How did you guys solve this problem? Was it easy or difficult?

Thanks everyone for your suggestion. This is how I ended up routing the cables. Hopefully water doesn't seep through the gap.
