Can't really complain too much...the thing went 87k miles before it went out last night on my hubby's way home from work. Battery light went on, shifter locked in park on him, and finally died about 2 blocks away from his job when he tried to come home. Called around this morning (we had the car towed to our shop last night), and found the alternator at NAPA for 189, not counting the core return. With labor at our shop, it's coming to about 345.

Not too shabby, and it'll be done in a couple of hours! :)

It's always worth it to call around to price check parts. Had I not, we more than likely would have paid that price just for the alternator because of where they found the part first!

That's good to know that NAPA has the alternator at a somewhat reasonable price. If mine craps out, I'll probably try to rebuild it myself. I don't have much money.
