My daughters 06 Caliber did the same. I read that it can be a faulty bonnet alarm switch so I disconnected it. Alarm hasn't gone off since December. The switch was very stiff & I surmise it was bending the mount & not always disengaging. It's located up against the firewall on the LH side. Make sure you secure the disconnected wire so it doesn't earth & set the alarm off. Worth a try.
