Thermometer light comes on it then the motor shuts down and I can't go anywhere first thing in the morning you have to kill it after you start it to kill it and then put it in drive to go anywhere because it doesn't have any power I have to kill it to start and that's getting old it doesn't like to got killed three or four times in the car I'm starting to absolutely hate it we've done everything we know to do doesn't change this I've put new partsI don't know what else to do

So first thing in the morning the thermometer warning light comes on? First thought is you have a faulty coolant temp sensor that's telling the ECM your coolant is super hot and the ECM puts the car in some sort of limp mode to protect the engine
