Recently I had an (almost) empty Autobahn and no passengers aboard so I pressed the gas pedal a bit more than I usually do. When the Caliber finally reached the 200 km/h the road went uphill and the Caliber refused to go any faster. Well, it's not a performance car.

It would be nice if we had Autobahns here in the US, but even the most deserted rural highways are populated by speed limit signs and state police officers.

That day I already drove ~150 km on the Autobahn and I shifted down to 4th gear, pushing the car up to 190 km/h (reaching the red line) and then shifted to 5th gear. That's the only way to make this happen with the 2.0 gas engine.
btw: aside from the K&N replacement filter (no CAI) the engine and trans is completely stock.
