clicking

I have a 'ghost' snapping noise in my glove compartment area of the dash. I can have the car turned-off, keys out and 2 minutes after I can hear clicking / snapping sounds, or when I open my door! I destroyed the glovebox removing it to get to the blower motor- the sound appears to be coming...
