Default Soda Pop Fuels Engine

A New Mexico inventor has invented a device that allows, a mostly soda pop with a little gasoline, to fuel an engine. The device can also be used on diesel engines, and furnaces. The device vaporizes the mixture before it enters the combustion chamber allowing the mixture to easily ignite.

This makes more sense than making ethanol. It's literally E85, but without the process of converting the sugar to alcohol.

Pop soda is mostly water and fructose syrup. Aka, corn. Back to square 1.

You wouldn't think the sugar/fructose side of the mix
would be a plus for engine life.

I agree with bigtsr. I don't much like the idea of sugar in my engine. It does terrible things to your rings.

All I know is the guy has several people that have been testing his invention in many different types of vehicles for almost two years, and there hasn't been any ill-effects. It's probably because it's vaporized before it gets to the combustion chamber and gets burned completely. The emissions were cut significantly.

Well stranger things have come to pass!
If indeed it is and does as represented
we had all better send him our retirement
savings before the lineup gets too big.

This isn't anything new... Willy Wonka did this 30 years ago.

It would reduce our dependence on foreign oil, is made more efficiently than ethanol, and it significantly reduces emissions. Three very BIG points I'd say.
