Looks cool as snot but, that's gonna be a gob of heat in that area, are they planning to add some serious insulation around the firewall at least? So far it's impressive but I have to question the turbo location... I know it has to have an oil source, and gravity is the best way to get said oil back to the crankcase when it's done it's job keeping the turbo bearings alive... I was reading up on a 1000 horsepower turbo/supercharger (yes, both) setup for the new Shelby Mustang and they have the turbo's mounted under the car (Very stealthy!) and a remote oiling system supplies the turbo's. While they are that deep into this now would be the time to add a header, it's a direct bolt in replacement for the manifold, so it should accommodate the turbo pipe they've made already.

there is going to be a "heat shield" around the hot half of the turbo....the placement is really the only place in there it would go for its size...its the only spot to accomidate piping and everything else...as for oil....they are a world famous turbo shop..im sure they'll come up with something.... as for the header...theres no need for one (they say) im kinda skeptical but wutever) if they say itll work, i trust them...

I'm sure it'll work too. I learned the finer points of turbocharging 20 plus years ago from am old guy named Buddy Ingersoll, (Google him) so I have a very good understanding of just what is going on here. Heat is what makes it work, so it should be a concern, the SRT4's turbo is mounted in the same general area, just much much lower. It does look like they have thought it through very well really. But, I do still think you'll want a serious heat shield on the firewall though.

Looking good!!! Just seems to me it would be easier and cheaper to mount it to where you could use the Caliber SRT4 ehaust manifold instead of them custom making one. But they must know what they are doing.

its hard to explain...wehen i go in to the shop ill take a picture of the heat shield that will go around the hot part of the turbo housing....its a new concept to me so i cant explain it that well.
