Default red round light flashing on the dash

When I tried to start my car, it just would not start. Every light comes on as usual, I hear clicking, but it just would not start. I paused, then tried again, it started. Once I got to work, it did it again. I noticed the clock went to 12:00 both times, but everything electrically worked. My mileage is only 159 000 so I don't understand why this issue.

    thanks

    Sounds like battery.
If new then charging circuit, check voltage at battery and alternator.
If ok then wiring and earth points.
replaced - hub bolts, warped rotors, 3 batteries, 2 screens, 12 alloy wheels, seat cover, armrest, Track-rod ends, clutch master cylinder, LH tail unit, LCAs, rear toe link,
