Sounds like you're staying on top of the routine stuff. I'm happy to hear that. So many people don't do that and then want to complain what a POS their car is because it craps out.

I totally get that. I bought my car new from the showroom and babied it since then. I even bought the extended warranty for the car after 3/36 warranty ran out. I didn't finance it with my car payment rather, I paid Chrysler the $1,000 in payments directly with them and used them as my creditor with 0% interest. It paid off because shortly after that my Cali needed a new transmission. Cost of replacing the transmission, $3,260.00 for a reman including labor. Of course I didn't pay for it since it was covered plus ext warranty also included rental as well for the duration of the repair. I didn't have to pay extra for that either but of course it had to be a Dodge or Chrysler product from the rental agency.
I also replaced the lower control arms twice. Both rear bushings were shot and made a clunk sound going over speed bumps or uneven road. First time was under regular warranty and second time it was earlier this year. I got some aftermarket ones and had them installed by a shop and had front end aligned. Also had the windshield replaced, had a crack and well it look horrible.
I really haven't had any problems with it really... Other than it tends to stall once in a blue moon that no one could figuer out at the dealership. I also had the breaks done too, front disk and drums in the back. The only other problem was the driver side seat belt didn't retract any more. I bought a new one online and installed it myself. Good as new.

Also replaced both headlights with TYC aftermarket. The original ones were getting fogged up, how the plastic gets all yellow. So I bought a new set. and in the summer I had the transmission fluid change along with filter and gasket. Cost at the dealership, $220.00

I did the same thing, wasn't all that hard to do either. Maybe your stalling problem could be from a bad purge solenoid or vapor canister. Although if those had trouble I think a code would be thrown.

I thought about that but my car never cranks out a code. Or... the problem didn't stick around enough to register a code. I filled up my tank with gas this past Sunday. I don't try to squeeze the next penny out or anything. As soon as it clicks, I stop pumping. It's been running fine so far.

Back in May tho my check engine light did come on. Code came up being the purge solenoid. But just like that the code had cleared without any intervention and it never came back on again. At the time I was shopping around for a new one.

Just wondering, what spark plugs do you all use or recommend? Mine are due for a change. I change them out every 30k on the dot. This Sunday I changed the engine air filter, cabin filter, and oil change.

I run the cheap champions. Found the car likes them the best and I've tried plat and iridiums and the ngk V power. Still like champion the best. Get the best response out of them.

I put NGK iridium plugs in my Caliber at 30,000 miles...it just turned 79,000 miles and still runs like a top. I'm convinced Chrysler spec'd out the cheap 30K interval plugs for the car just to save a few bucks per car during assembly.

They aren't very expensive, just replace it to ease your mind.
