    Default What is it?

What is the component circled in red?
Some critter chewed through the yellow wire.
My starter isn't working and I noticed that there is a yellow wire connected to the starter and was wondering if it is the same yellow wire that the critter chewed through.

Napa guy says he thinks it's the throttle position sensor. I think he's right.

I think that is the intake manifold flapper motor.

Throttle position is right on the throttle body. Which is further down connected to the other end of the intake tube.

I have to agree with Tonatom. That doesn't look like any sensor I've ever seen or changed. I'd splice in a new wire and see if the car starts.

I'd consider it quite unlikely you have a direct wire running from some intake sensor to the starter. Obviously repair the wire but your starter problem probably lies elsewhere. Have you checked codes?

Just try tapping the starter with a hammer and see if the car starts. The frigging bendix could be stuck.
