Thanks Alex, The German (or French) link (fichier) worked and produced the entire SM including the pages beyond 4700.

Thanks again. I will see what I can see about the Transmission and Transfer Case.

    Here'a what I found.

The info I need begins on Section 21, page 418. STANDARD PROCEDURE CHECK OIL LEVEL

    Then, on page 419, This

    6. Check transmission oil temperature using the appropriate scan tool.

    7. The transmission Oil Dipstick 9336 has indicator marks every 10 mm. Determine the height of the oil level on the dipstick and using the height dipstick, using the height, the transmission temperature, and the Transmission Fluid Graph, determine if the transmission oil level is correct.

    8. Add or remove oil as necessary and recheck the oil level.

That makes sense, but at this point, I did not remember reading how to remove oil or how often to change transmission oil

On page 420, I found something about fluid and filter service. I suspect the general idea is to unbolt the oil pan, drain all the oil, change the filter, put the pan back on and refill the transmission through the fill tube under the hood. Is that right?
