Took my Caliber out on the highway yesterday. It was an 80 kmh (50 mph) speed limit and it was fairly busy with most cars doing the 80. I had a chance to pass some slower cars and kicked the auto-stick down a couple of gear ratios and stood on the accelerator. I was suitably imprressed. The vehicle quickly picked up speed to a decent passing amount and I breezed by. The smoothness of the CVT was great and the auto-stick made driving a ball! Cheers!

OK, I guess I'm not too bright. What is an AutoStick? I have a 2.0 L with automatic. Did the salesperson not tell me there was another option. I didn't see it when I put my Caliber together online. Is it similar to Porsche tiptronic?...automatic or shift manually.

Dude, the CVT2 has an autostick feature where you can manually shift through 6 simulated gears. You have the 2.0L w/ CVT, the R/T has the 2.4L with CVT2. It puts a grin on my face every time I drive my R/T!!
