Hello, I've got an SXT SE and sometimes the headlights stay on after I leave the car and turn off automatically. It does not have daytime running lights. I can't figure out what combination of events causes this. I know there's no delay function and I think it's strange. I've had the delay function in other cars but it's always been controllable. Anybody had this experience?

SXT or SE, can't have both. Watch what you're doing next you shut the car off. Occationally I accidentally put my finger on the fob unlock button as I shut the car off. This triggers the headlights "on" circuit which is a built in feature of the car. The default time is 90 seconds.

An almost similiar thread came up recently

before I got the alarm system installed, I could swear my lights did the same when using the stock key fob.
I now use the alarm remote for locking/arming/unlocking my car now. ( I swapped the large key fob for a regular coded key). The headlights do not come on when locking nor unlocking the car. (except for the flash confirmation)
I tried testing with the original key fob tonight, so far it does light up when unlocking, I'm trying a few combo's on the locking feature.
>> Edit. The closest I could come is what Prop1 suggested. After shutting down the car, hit the unlock button on the key fob, then hit the lock button. You now have lights on for 90sec to guide you to the door of your house. Call it an "on demand feature"
