Not sure if this is a good question to ask but I just bought my R/T 2 weeks ago and I was told by 3 different dealers they were not "able/allowed" to negotiate price. I understand these cars sell themselves and they mostly work on commision but...? I did get all rear windows tinted and 1 detail pkg for buying the car so thats not too bad. They are also throwing in 3 tanks of gas. Total list price on my car with all the bells and whistles besides heated seats and u conect was 27,740 CDN. Does this sound right as far as other prices from across the country?
I got my Cali 2.0 CRD SXT with Boston stereo without the sub and the tail speakers and leather interior. For 58.000 USD as a 2 seater, then some 5.000 USD for the 20" titanium rims. I have only 5 years of registered driving without any accidents behind me, so the insurance is not so great, I pay 3.000 USD per year for that, could be worse. The yearly road tax is about 850 USD.
Salesmen - Leon
Dealership - Columbia Chrysler, Richmond, B.C., Canada
Hes great! i was stupid when i was younger and botched up my credit, In a few hours he had me hooked up with this sweet sweet baby!
2007 SE with a/c cruise and CVT 13,750km (lease return) for just under $19,000 CAD, Keep in mind that canadian car prices are just strait up rediculous compared to american prices.
Example - Lotus Exige S
USA MSRP $59,890 USD
CANADA MSRP $75,900 CDN
And the Canadaian dollar is pretty much on par with US dollar
I bought a 2007 R/T loaded with leather, dvd/nav, 3 months sirius, chrome wheels, and lots of extras on Saturday. Sticker was $26,700 and walked out with it for $20,730 total.
i have the 1.8 s.e petrol/gas and it cost me £12,000 (brand new)thats proberly $24,000 ...but my standered equipment is elec windows/centrol locking, folding front seat,abs,eps,aircon/cooler,rear cargo cover, reclining rear seats..:worshippy: so maybe the high price plus the import cost....
Sticker price on mine was $18,905 (of course I didn't pay that much)
2.0 Liter 4/cyl DOHC 16-Valve Dual WT Engine (whatever that all means LOL)
CTV II
Electric Sunroof
Luxury Floor mats (haha :i_rolleyes
ABS
Fog Lamps
Cruise Control
17" Aluminim Wheels
Everything else is basic power everything and Air Conditioning.. no music gate or AWD stuff.
1 disc CD Stereo with the AUX for the MPs/Portable DVD
10/100,000 warranty instead of the basic 3/36,000
Dealership paid for my new plates/registration fees
Of course I purchased after they came out with the Lifetime Power Train warranty, which swayed my decision to go with the Caliber. :Racing:
In the end I ended up financing $18,900 after state/county taxes (10%); extended warranty package(I paid for 5yrs and while I was at the hosp with my son they called to tell me they gave me the 10yr at no additional cost); $500 bonus off that was offered with the car at the time; $2000 cash down; in the end and according to the paperwork, they took off $1500 off the sticker price.
SO, I'm hoping that I got a pretty decent price for my car. :sla:
I got mine from the Marshalling center here in MI, these are employee lease turn-ins, I get the employee pricing from my retired father.
Here's the specs:

I financed a tad over 21,000 tax title etc...
Sticker on my 08 SXT Sport was US 19,530. I got it for 18,000 plus below market financing. I think the margins are pretty slim on these cars, so I think I did ok.

They said I got the car for only a hundred more then they paid for it, and they hadn't advertised it yet so that cost wasn't passed on to me!

I got mine free... well... sort of, it was a gift from my parents when i became a high school senior... Last year, it was a Rental rescue, enterprize lol... but it had 20,020 miles so my parents got it for 13,999 i think it was a good deal, they took me to the dealership, and they were actually getting me a 02 Mercedes C-class or a 03 BMW 325i for about the same price but when i saw the Caliber... i said i got to have that one, i dont regret getting it one bit, i love it
29,000 for an 08 SXT? I think not. I just went on dodge.ca's website to build an SXT with ALL of the options, it came to 22,700. A SRT4 with ALL of the options came to 27,120.
What are some of the specs of your SXT if you don't mind me asking? Mine has sunroof, leather, heated seats, 17" aluminum wheels, and it was listing for about 22,800, and I got mine for 21,500.
The dealer must have marked it up BIG TIME.
