Hi all, I have changed the stock 6 CD multichanger for a single Sony head unit. I purchased the CHTO-01 adaptor and all is working fine except that the sub does not work. All other speakers are working fine. I have reset the cars power and checked all the connections to the sub and second amp. First Amp is working fine.
Either it's not turning on because it isn't getting the signal it would have gotten from the original HU, or the new HU doesn't have a digital output for the sub amp.
Thanks Brad. The first Sub is getting power but not the Sub amp! Bit disappointed as it makes a big difference. Spose I'll have to use the sub output on the head unit and wire in a new amp.
Hope you work it out Chris, theres always a solution or away
round it, i have often thought about just going direct to the battery with fuse and splicing the speaker wires, is that a bad way..
i used to do this years ago with other cars..
Thanks Brendy. I since purchased a single CD for £10 on Ebay and tried it. THe sub is working perfectly with a stock radio. I wondered if anyone knows the wiring layout on the Chrysler loom for the stereo? I have tried 12volt.com but they only have the standard Caliber audio system, not the Boston Acoustics Musicgate one. Seriously need some help as everything works except the sub and it's annoying the hell out of me now. Unless I can get help I might have to pay an audio place a lot of money just to trace some wires for me :-(
all help appreciated
thanks
Chris
