Got a 2009 dodge caliber, recently change the oil around 44-45 days ago, and my "change oil light came on again? But the place I change my oil told me I wasn't due for another month and a half? No notable leaks or nothing. I got it changed at Midas which I think I made a mistake after reading some of the rip off reports on the net, but don't know. Thanks

The standard oil change interval on the Caliber is 6000 miles under normal driving. However, the "change oil" indicator may come on at 3000 miles. I'm not sure if that happens because the computer figures out you do mostly stop-and-go city driving and decides 3000 miles is better, or because the dealer programmed the computer to do it at 3000 instead of 6000 to make more money.

In any case, resetting the warning is easy. Turn your key to ON, press/release the gas pedal 3 times within 10 seconds, then turn the key to OFF. That's it.

Yep, just do what Chris said. I always changed my own oil and invariably sometime between MY oil changes intervals, the message would show up. I'd simply do what Chris suggested and go my merry way.
