Good evening Jared, In Germany, if you dont fight the rough low temperatures i suggest you go with one of the cheapest Grp III synthetics. ¢ --> Penzoil Platinum 5w20. Mobil 1 5w20 a tiny bit less cheaper but it's a very well respected lubricant (we have a special in Canada now, 30$ for 5 liter jug
. Rule of thumb; the venerable owners manual is #1, change @ 6 months or 6000 miles and the engine will outlast the body of the car. If you would like to stick to conventional dino oil, my suggestion would be Mobil Clean. I have a local Mobil product which is called Mobil super 1000 and it's blended in Sarnia Ontario. It's ¢ --> 21$ for a 5 liter jug. Very cheap and good quality. You might get access easily to Castrol products in Germany, and most are real group IV synthetics; i would look for the best prices. When i see specials, i stack up a little bit for the whole year. Another very good one which is very reasonable is the Valvoline synpower; a group III, prices are very good. F.
