I forgot to add......If it's 100 degrees outside, the air being sucked into the engine is going to be very close to 100 degrees. Even with a hood mounted hood scoop. So to me they are all really hot air intakes unless you rig up some kind of refrigeration. I did hear of someone who used dry ice in a box to cool the air being sucked into the engine but his idea didn't catch on LOL!!! My Mopar c.a.i. bends down farther into the opening behind the engine and transmission than the K&N c.a.i. because the K&N c.a.i. is made to use with the heat protector box. Talk to you later.

Hi! Dan. I have a ScanGauge II. It reads the "real time temperature" of the air being sucked into the engine. I have no problems in the summer time with the air being too hot. Like all cars, performance is down on 100 degree days, and performance is better in 20 degree temperatures. The way i look at it is.........It's better to suck all the warm air the engine wants than for it to suck air through the small factory hole LOL!!! Talk to you later.

Hi! Dan. I can't do things like that. Maybe talk to Prop1 (Brad) about it. It is a good idea to warn people of a possible problem.

Hi! shadowtrim, did you ever get your Caliber fixed? If so, what was wrong with it. Just checking in on you. I'll talk to you later.

Hi! shadowtrim, The pictures are all beautiful! Very good job on the painting. The c.a.i. should take around .2 to .3 tenths off your 0 to 60 times. You really won't feel if. Get a performance exhaust (mopar or magnaflow) system, this will take off another .2 to .3 tenths off your 0 to 60 times. You still might not be able to really feel the added performance by the seat of your pants, but maybe some. Add the header, you will really feel every thing come together. All three modifications took 1.0 to 1.2 seconds off my 0 to 60 times. You can feel this increase. It was as if i had a different engine in my Caliber. I give the gas pedal 1/8 th of an inch less to go the same speeds as before the 3 modifications. My gas mileage is .3 to .5 m.p.g. better.

Hi! shadowtrim, I may later on get a small boat or something. The hidden trailer hitch adds strenght to the rear end. It bolts to the rear frame rails with 4 large bolts and nuts. This is like, in a way, what the strut tower brace does to the front end. All you see of the hitch is a little black square thing in the middle, below the bumper. If you haven't seen my videos of 0 to 60, 0 to 90 and my Magnaflow exhaust sound, click on this link www.youtube.com/davidandchico . Talk to you later.

Strut tower brace looks good. I put on a hidden hitch to make the rear stronger also. Nice pictures!!!
